Comprehensive Recycling Operations

Under the watchful eye of state-of-the art security systems and surveillance cameras, we quickly and safely destroy confidential documents, including personal information, from government agencies and private companies, and produce recycled pulp, which is then used as a raw material for manufacturing paper.

We use confidential documents and recovered newsprint as raw materials to manufacture crepe paper, a type of cushioning material. Crepe paper is used to protect things when packaging ceramics or moving house.

We sort waste plastics collected from households, removing and separating waste paper, metal and other waste from the plastic materials, and compress only plastic containers to produce waste plastic bales.

Bales of used plastic containers and packaging are sorted by material using a state-of-the-art optical plastic sorting machine to produce recycled resin pellets to be used as raw materials. We will curb the use of depletable fossil fuels, and promote the effective use of recyclable resources.

The company produces wooden pellets used as biomass fuel from woodchips made from waste construction materials, pallets and other packaging materials, and wood chipped from thinned wood. The pellets are mainly used as pellet heater fuel for household use and as power generation fuel for electric power companies. In the future, we plan to reuse it as construction materials as well.

We manufacture RPF from waste plastics, wood and paper. In order to reduce fuel costs and CO2 emissions, paper mills use industrial waste such as these as raw materials for thermal recycling. At Eco-Port Kyushu, we aim to achieve zero emissions by producing RPF using residue generated at our facilities as the main raw material.
